Claire stood on the sun-drenched cobblestone street of Paris, the cool autumn breeze rustling the collar of her elegant beige trench coat. For thirty years, she had avoided this city. She looked toward the counter, her heart hammering against her ribs, wondering if the man who had haunted her dreams for three decades would even recognize her.
