Previously: When Amanda showed up to her own wedding wearing a royal blue gown instead of white, her coordinator Justin knew something was terribly wrong. Then, she threw the bouquet.

A New Beginning

A heavy silence fell over the church courtyard as Amanda stared at her mother in disbelief. The betrayal cut deeper than any of Richard’s lies. But Justin merely smiled, looking down at the document in Richard's hand.

"You should have read the fine print of that trust, Richard,"
Justin said softly.
"My grandfather was the co-founder of the Savannah Heritage Trust. The original charter states that any transfer of power of attorney must be approved by the trust's presiding trustee. And that trustee happens to be me."

Richard's jaw dropped. The crowd of wedding guests erupted into excited mutters. Justin turned to Amanda, his eyes filled with warmth and reassurance.

"Your father set this up to protect you from people exactly like them, Amanda. Your mother had no legal right to sign anything over without my signature. Your family's legacy is perfectly safe."
Realizing their leverage was completely gone and their fraudulent schemes were about to be exposed to the police, Richard and his father retreated in disgrace, leaving the church steps in a hurry.

Amanda looked at Justin, her heart swelling with gratitude and a feeling she had suppressed for far too long. She looked at the white rose bouquet still clutched in his hands and laughed softly.

"I guess it's a good thing I threw that at you,"
she whispered. Justin smiled, handing the flowers back to her.
"I'd catch a thousand bouquets for you, Amanda. Let's get out of here."

Hand in hand, Amanda and Justin walked away from the stone church, leaving the chaotic wedding behind them. Stepping into the warm golden hour light, Amanda realized that losing her wedding was the best thing that had ever happened to her—because it finally led her to the one person who truly had her back. True love doesn't demand you wear white; it stands by you when you choose to shine in your own vibrant colors.
