A Ruthless Debt Collector Cornered Me in an Alley, Unaware of My Real Identity
Previously: When Marcus pinned me against a grungy alley door to collect my late father's debt, he thought I was helpless. He had no idea whose blood ran through my veins.
A Father's Final Legacy
Victor stepped closer, his bodyguards raising their weapons. Marcus and his henchmen quickly fell into line behind their boss, effectively trapping Elena in the narrow corridor. The situation seemed entirely hopeless. Elena was outnumbered and outgunned, cornered in a dark alley with nowhere to run.
But Elena's smile only widened. "I knew you would come yourself, Victor," she said softly. "My father always said you were too greedy to let anyone else handle his affairs. That's why he made sure I had a backup plan."

Elena pressed a small button on the side of the flash drive. A tiny blue light began to blink rapidly. At that exact moment, the sirens started. The high-pitched wails of police cruisers echoed from the main street, growing louder by the second. Red and blue lights began to flash against the wet brick walls of the alleyway.
"This drive is equipped with a proximity transmitter," Elena explained, her voice ringing clear over the approaching sirens. "The moment I pressed that button, the entire ledger was uploaded directly to the federal database. And the local precinct was alerted to a high-profile kidnapping in progress at this exact address."
Victor's face went completely pale. He looked at his bodyguards, then at the entrance of the alley where the first police cruiser was already screeching to a halt. Realizing the game was over, Victor turned to flee, but a dozen armed officers burst through the doors, guns raised, cutting off every escape route. Within minutes, Victor, Marcus, and their henchmen were in handcuffs, being led away into the rainy night.
As the lead detective approached Elena, offering her a warm jacket, she looked up at the night sky. She realized her father had never truly left her defenseless; his final legacy wasn't a debt of money, but a debt of justice. In trying to destroy her, her father's enemies had walked straight into the trap he had spent a lifetime preparing. Elena walked out of the alley, finally free from the shadows of the past, knowing that the ultimate strength lies not in the power to intimidate, but in the courage to stand firm against the dark.
