Previously: When an arrogant salesman shoves a young boy in a backpack for touching a supercar, he has no idea the child is the heir to the entire automotive empire.

The Escalation of Power

The silence in the showroom was deafening. The other sales representatives stood frozen at their desks, their eyes dabbing between the terrified Arthur and the young boy who had just issued a command with absolute authority. Thomas stood up, his back straight as a rod, his eyes burning with a quiet, dangerous fury. He looked down at Arthur, who had begun to tremble violently, his hands shaking at his sides.

"Do you have any idea who this child is?"

Thomas’s voice was barely a whisper, yet it carried across the vast showroom. Arthur swallowed hard, his throat dry. He tried to speak, but only a squeak escaped his lips. He looked at Toby, then at Thomas, desperately searching for a way to undo the last sixty seconds of his life.

"I... I was just protecting the vehicle, sir," Arthur stammered, his voice cracking. "The boy... he didn't have a pass, and he was touching the custom paint. I didn't know he was associated with—"

Before Arthur could finish his pathetic excuse, the heavy glass doors of the dealership opened once more. Charles Sterling, the billionaire founder of the Sterling Automotive Group, walked in. He was flanked by three corporate lawyers and the regional manager, who was sweating profusely. Charles’s sharp eyes immediately locked onto his son, then noticed the scrape on Toby's palm and the tense standoff in the center of the room.

The regional manager rushed forward, his voice filled with panic. He immediately recognized Toby and Thomas, and his heart sank. He turned to Arthur, his face red with anger.

"Arthur, what have you done? Tell me you did not just lay a hand on Mr. Sterling's son!"

Arthur felt the room spinning. He fell to his knees on the polished floor, looking up at Charles Sterling with tears of desperation in his eyes. He began to beg, pleading for his job, his career, and his livelihood, realizing that a single act of arrogance had just destroyed everything he had spent years building.
