Previously: A snobbish car salesman thought he could humiliate a young teenager wearing a simple canvas backpack, but a sudden arrival revealed a truth that turned his entire world upside down.

A Dangerous Connection

The transition of power in the showroom was instantaneous. At Arthur's command, security guards swarmed the floor, politely but firmly escorting the bewildered clients out of the building. Jonathan stood frozen in place, his hands shaking as his career crumbled in a matter of seconds. He tried to speak, to offer an apology, but the words caught in his throat.

Just as Arthur was about to have Jonathan thrown out, the general manager of the dealership, Mr. Vance, rushed out of the back office. He was clutching a digital tablet, his face pale and dripping with sweat. He looked at Toby with deep reverence, then turned a terrified gaze toward Jonathan.

"Mr. Toby, we have a critical situation," Vance stammered, his voice hushed. "I just ran a background check on Jonathan's credentials. The system flagged his profile. He is not who he says he is."

Toby frowned, looking at the salesman. Jonathan's terrified expression had suddenly vanished, replaced by a cold, calculating sneer. The manager explained that Jonathan had used a highly sophisticated fake identity to secure his position at the luxury dealership. His real name was Jonathan Miller.

The name hit Toby like a physical blow. The Millers were a rival family who had attempted to illegally bankrupt Toby's grandfather's shipping empire two decades ago. The resulting legal battle had completely ruined the Millers, leaving them destitute and disgraced. Jonathan hadn't shoved Toby out of mere snobbery; he had recognized Toby from the family dossiers he had kept for years.

Before anyone could react, Jonathan pulled a small black remote from his pocket and pressed a button. Instantly, the massive steel security shutters of the dealership began to slam down, sealing all the exits and plunging the showroom into darkness, save for the dim emergency lights.

"You think you can just ruin my life twice?" Jonathan hissed, backing away toward the service bays. "This ends today."
