The School Bully Targeted the Quiet Nerd, but Had No Idea Who His Father Was
Previously: When Julian knocked the school’s quietest student to the hallway floor, he thought it was just another easy target. He had no idea he’d just unleashed a trained champion.
A Promise on the Line
Julian, feeling the pressure of the recording phones, tried to regain his composure.
"What, you think some tape makes you a fighter?"he barked, stepping into Ethan's personal space. He threw a heavy, testing shove at Ethan's shoulder. But Ethan didn't budge. Instead, with lightning-fast reflexes, Ethan parried the blow, grabbed Julian’s wrist, and spun him around, pinning him firmly against the cold green lockers.
The crowd gasped. Nobody had ever seen Julian put in his place, let alone by the school "nerd." Julian struggled wildly, his face turning a deep, angry red.
"Get off me!"he roared, swinging a wild left hook as Ethan let him go. Ethan slipped the punch effortlessly, stepping back into a perfect defensive stance. He didn't want to hurt Julian; he wanted him to back down.

But the stakes suddenly skyrocketed. At the end of the hallway, two figures appeared. Coach Miller, the school’s protective athletic director, and Marcus, Ethan’s father, who was visiting for a parent-teacher conference. Marcus stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes locking onto his son's wrapped hands. Ethan’s heart sank. He had promised his father he would never use his training at school, a promise born from a past family tragedy where violence had ruined Marcus's own career.
Julian, blind with rage and unaware of the audience, lunged again, aiming a brutal fist directly at Ethan's face. Ethan had a split second to decide: defend himself and break his sacred promise to his father, or take the hit and protect his family's secret.
