Previously: Framed by a corrupt warden and targeted by the prison's most brutal kingpin, Maya had to use her elite training to survive—and turn the tables on her captors.

The Tables Turn

Warden Henderson stepped forward, his hand resting mockingly on his holster. "Assaulting an inmate is a serious offense, Vance," he said, his voice dripping with false concern. "I'm afraid my guards will have to use lethal force to restore order." Maya knew there would be no trial, no solitary confinement. Henderson was going to execute her right here, claiming she had started a prison riot. She braced herself, preparing for a desperate, final stand against the armed guards.

Suddenly, a deafening siren wailed across the compound, and the prison's main gates were violently breached. A fleet of black federal SUVs roared into the outer courtyard, tires screeching. Dozens of heavily armed tactical officers poured out, led by Special Agent Marcus Thorne—Maya's loyal former partner. Thorne held up a federal warrant, his voice booming over the megaphone. "Warden Henderson! Stand down immediately! You are under arrest for conspiracy, bribery, and the attempted murder of a federal officer!"

Henderson's face went pale. He looked at his guards, but they slowly lowered their weapons, realizing the game was over. Thorne's team quickly handcuffed the corrupt warden, while others secured the yard. Marcus walked over to Maya, offering her a jacket. "We found the decrypted ledger, Maya. Your name is cleared. You're going home." Maya stood up, dusting off her clothes. As she walked toward the exit, she passed Brody, who was being tended to by medics. The giant looked at her, nodding in silent, hard-earned respect. Maya smiled faintly, stepping out of the dark prison yard and into the bright sunlight of her freedom.

True strength isn't measured by the size of your opponent, but by the depth of your resolve to stand for the truth.
