Previously: When an arrogant young soldier mocked an aging veteran at a desert firing range, he expected an easy laugh. Instead, a single shot and a hidden tattoo changed everything.

The Legend Revealed

Before Leo could recover his composure, the heavy metal door of the range office swung open. Colonel Vance, the base commander, stepped out onto the dusty range. His sharp eyes scanned the scene, immediately landing on the older man in the beige jacket. When Vance’s eyes fell upon the black wolf tattoo on Arthur's forearm, the colonel froze. Without a second thought, he snapped his hand to his brow in a rigid, deeply respectful salute.

"Commander Arthur, sir. I had no idea you were visiting our facility today,"

Vance said, his voice carrying an unmistakable tone of reverence. Leo looked between his commander and the old man, completely bewildered. He stammered, demanding to know who this civilian was. Vance turned on Leo, his eyes flashing with absolute fury.

"Hold your tongue, soldier! You are speaking to the founder of the Ghost Unit. He is a living legend who has saved more lives in covert operations than you have days in service."

A cold sweat broke out on Leo's neck. A single tear of embarrassment and fear rolled down his cheek beneath his dark military cap. Yet, the sting of public humiliation was too much for his arrogant pride to bear. Desperate to save face in front of his peers, Leo gritted his teeth and stepped forward, challenging Arthur to a high-stakes tactical duel on the moving target range.

"A static target is easy for an old-timer. Let's see how the legend handles real pressure. If I win, you hand over your ceremonial Ghost Unit medal. If you win, I will resign my commission."

Colonel Vance began to intervene, but Arthur raised a single hand, silencing him. The old commander looked at the young soldier, his eyes cold and sharp as flint. He accepted the challenge. The stakes were set, and the range was cleared for an impossible test of skill under the rising desert winds.
