Amanda stood quietly in the center of the showroom, admiring a delicate diamond tennis bracelet. "You don't belong in this store," Vanessa hissed, pointing a manicured finger at Amanda. "This place is for actual customers, not window shoppers looking for a free air-conditioned seat."

The transformation in the room was instantaneous. Thomas's face drained of color as he gasped in sudden, horrific realization. Vanessa's smug expression completely shattered.
