Previously: When Thomas is accused of burning down his father's historic timber mill, his stepmother's trap almost sends him to prison—until a shocking courtroom interruption changes everything.

The Shocking Interruption

Just as Judge Arthur raised his gavel to send the jury out for their final deliberation, the heavy oak doors at the back of the courtroom burst open. The sound shattered the tense silence of the room. Every head turned in unison.

Standing in the doorway was Sarah, the loyal secretary who had worked for Thomas's father for over two decades. She was breathless, her clothes disheveled, but her eyes held a fierce determination. She clutched a thick yellow envelope tightly against her chest.

"Your Honor, stop!" Sarah cried out, her voice trembling but clear. "You cannot sentence this boy. I have the proof of who actually burned down the mill!"

The courtroom erupted into a frenzy of murmurs and gasps. Prosecutor Richard immediately stood up, his face flushed with anger. "Your Honor, this is highly irregular! Deliberations are about to begin. This woman must be removed!" he demanded, gesturing to the bailiff.

But Judge Arthur raised his hand, silencing the room with a single gesture. He looked at Sarah with a piercing gaze. "What is the meaning of this? This is a court of law."

Sarah walked down the center aisle, ignoring the glares. She stopped right beside the defense table and laid the envelope down. "Inside this envelope are the bank statements of Clara's offshore account. She paid an arsonist fifty thousand dollars the day before the fire. I also have the security footage from the neighboring warehouse showing her accomplice near the mill that night."

Thomas looked over at Clara. The elegant mask she had worn all day had completely shattered. Her face was pale, her lips trembling as she stared at Sarah in absolute horror. She tried to stand up and flee, but two security guards immediately blocked her path.

Judge Arthur took a deep breath, looking down at the evidence. "Court will recess for one hour while I review these documents," he announced, his voice booming through the chaotic room.
