My Stepmother Tried to Humiliate Me at My Sister's Wedding Until a Shocking Announcement Ruined Her Plans
Previously: When Julia arrived at her sister's high-society wedding in her military dress uniform, her stepmother tried to humiliate her. She had no idea who Julia really was.
The Final Victory
Julia looked at the document, then back at Helen’s smug face. Slowly, a calm, cold smile spread across Julia's lips. She did not look like a woman who was cornered. Instead, she looked like an intelligence officer who had just walked her target directly into a trap.
"You always underestimated me, Helen," Julia said softly, her voice steady and resolute. "Did you really think a Brigadier General in military intelligence wouldn't investigate her own father's suspicious death and the sudden disappearance of his estate?"
Helen's smile faltered. "What are you talking about?"

"I've known about those offshore accounts for three years," Julia continued, stepping closer. "I also know that your signature is on every single transfer authorization. You embezzled my father's money while he was sick, and you framed him to cover your tracks. I didn't act then because I was building an airtight federal case. And today, you decided to blackmail a federal officer."
Before Helen could speak, the vestry door opened. Two plainclothes federal agents stepped inside, followed by General Vance. Helen shrank back, her face turning a ghostly white as the agents presented a warrant.
"Helen Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny, embezzlement, and blackmail of a military official," the lead agent stated calmly, placing handcuffs on her wrists.
Helen was led out through a side door, weeping and begging for mercy, completely hidden from the wedding guests to avoid ruining Clara’s day. Julia took a deep breath, adjusted her uniform, and walked back into the main cathedral hall.
When the music began, Clara walked down the aisle, her eyes shining with tears of joy as she saw her older sister standing proudly at the altar. Julia walked her sister down the aisle, representing their father’s memory with the honor he deserved. True authority is not inherited through wealth or forced through cruelty; it is earned through sacrifice, integrity, and the courage to stand up for the truth.
