Previously: When Nicole smashed a hot car's window to rescue a suffocating baby, she thought she was just saving a life. She had no idea she was exposing a husband's dark secret.

The Husband’s Cruel Game

Before Ashley could take her baby, the screech of tires drew their attention. A sleek, black luxury sedan pulled up behind the damaged crossover. A man dressed in an expensive, tailored suit stepped out. This was Richard, Ashley’s husband. But instead of showing concern for his suffocating child, he immediately pulled out his smartphone, aiming the camera directly at his weeping wife.

"I knew you were unfit, Ashley," Richard sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "Leaving our son in a hot car. This video is going straight to my custody lawyer. You're finished."

Ashley collapsed to her knees on the hard pavement, hyperventilating. She grabbed Nicole’s arm, her fingers digging in with desperate strength. In a hushed, trembling whisper, she revealed the horrifying truth. They had been arguing, and Richard had snatched her keys and purse, leaving her stranded. Desperate to find a way to call for help, she had run into the pharmacy. But Richard hadn't left. He had used his smartphone’s smart-car app to remotely lock the doors and disable the air conditioning from afar, deliberately trapping their baby to frame her.

Nicole felt a chill run down her spine. Looking at Richard’s smug, arrogant face, she realized they were dealing with a monster. Just then, two Denver police cruisers pulled up, sirens wailing. Officer Miller stepped out, assessing the shattered window, the crying baby, and the screaming parents. Richard immediately stepped forward, playing the role of the distraught, wealthy father.

"Officer, thank goodness you're here," Richard said smoothly. "My wife abandoned our child in this vehicle. This bystander had to break the window to save him. I have it all recorded."

Ashley sobbed, unable to find her words under the weight of the accusation. The officer turned to Ashley, his expression stern. Nicole knew she had to speak up, but she needed proof to shatter Richard's perfect alibi.
