The School Bully Knocked Him Down, But He Had No Idea Who He Was Messing With
Previously: When Mason knocked the quiet kid to the floor in front of the whole school, he expected an easy target. He didn't expect the white hand wraps hidden under Luke's sleeve.
The Shift in Power
Mason’s smug expression faltered for a fraction of a second. The sight of the hand wraps—worn, professional, and clearly meant for serious combat—sent a ripple of unease through the onlookers. Mason, however, had an audience to please. He couldn't back down now without losing his crown.
"What, you think some athletic tape makes you a tough guy?" Mason sneered, stepping closer.
Without warning, Mason threw a heavy right hook, aiming straight for Luke’s jaw. The crowd gasped, expecting a brutal impact. But Luke didn't even flinch. Utilizing the head movement he had practiced for thousands of hours at his uncle's boxing gym, he slipped the punch with fluid, effortless grace. Before Mason could recover his balance, Luke stepped inside his guard, grabbing the lapel of the varsity jacket and pinning him against the yellow lockers.

Luke didn't strike. Instead, he leaned in close, his voice a calm, deadly whisper that only Mason could hear.
"I know you stole the charity fund from the athletic office, Mason. And I know you framed my little brother Toby to cover it up. I have the security footage on my phone."
Mason’s face drained of color. His bravado vanished, replaced by sheer panic. Before he could respond, the heavy double doors at the end of the hall slammed open. Principal Harrison marched into the corridor, his face contorted in fury. Seeing Luke holding Mason, the principal assumed the worst.
"Break it up!" Principal Harrison roared. "Luke, let him go immediately! My office, now!"
Mason immediately seized the opportunity, plastering a victimized look on his face. "He attacked me, Principal Harrison! Look at his hands, he was looking for a fight!"
