They Mocked Her at the Firing Line, Until Her Seven Shots Exposed a Family Conspiracy
Previously: When Jessica walked onto the elite firing range, the instructors laughed at her. But her perfect seven-shot sequence didn't just hit the targets—it shattered a multi-million-dollar lie.
Jessica fired the remaining five shots in rapid, rhythmic succession. Each crack of the rifle was followed by the satisfying, metallic clang of targets shattering downrange. When the dust settled, all seven targets were obliterated. The spectators stood in stunned silence before erupting into hushed, awed whispers. Ryan slowly took off his sunglasses, staring at Jessica as if seeing her for the first time.
The Stakes Rise
But the silence didn't last. From the VIP observation deck, Marcus, Jessica's power-hungry stepbrother, stormed down the stairs. His face was flushed with anger. He had spent months convincing the board of directors that Jessica was incompetent, and this display threatened to destroy his carefully crafted lies.

"This is a setup!" Marcus shouted, pointing an accusing finger at her. "She’s using a modified weapon. It's a parlor trick!"
Jessica set the rifle down and faced him, her expression ice-cold.
"If you think the rifle is rigged, Marcus, let me use yours. Or better yet, let's settle this the way Father would have."
The board members, who had followed Marcus down, murmured in agreement. Sensing he was losing control of the room, Marcus sneered. He knew he had to crush her once and for all, right here in front of everyone.
"You want your father's share of the company?" Marcus hissed. "Fine. Let's make a real wager. Clear the blind tactical house at the end of the range. Beat the record, and I’ll sign over your inheritance. Fail, and you sign these relinquishment papers right now."
It was an incredibly dangerous offer. The tactical house was a maze of shifting targets and obstacles. But Jessica, driven by the desire to honor her father's memory, nodded. "Deal."
As she walked toward the heavy steel doors of the tactical house, Ryan suddenly intercepted her, pulling her behind a stack of shipping containers. His arrogant demeanor was gone, replaced by genuine fear.
"Jessica, don't go in there," Ryan whispered urgently. "Marcus modified the target mechanisms. They aren't standard steel targets. He’s set a live-fire trap. If you step through that door, you won't make it out alive."
”If you step through that door, you won't make it out alive."
