Three Arrogant Youths Kicked an Old Man's Fishing Rod, Unaware of His Real Identity
Previously: When three arrogant young men cornered a quiet elder on a misty lake dock, they thought they could bully him. They had no idea who he really was.
The Table Turns
Thomas slowly rose from his wooden box. At over six feet tall, his broad shoulders and straight posture betrayed the retired Marine Colonel hidden beneath his worn work jacket. Derek took an involuntary step back, his arrogant smirk faltering for a brief second. However, Jason quickly stepped in to regain control of the situation.
"You think you're tough, old man? We told you to get lost. This is our spot now," Jason barked, stepping closer.
Derek, feeling emboldened by his friend, reached out to shove Thomas's shoulder. It was a critical mistake. Before Derek's hand could make contact, Thomas grabbed his wrist with a grip like steel, twisting it just enough to force the young man to his knees. Jason lunged forward in a panic, but Thomas simply stepped aside, letting the boy's momentum carry him dangerously close to the slick edge of the dock. Jason slipped, flailing wildly before barely regaining his balance.

Red-faced and humiliated, Jason pulled his phone out along with a heavy set of keys. He shook the keys at Thomas, pointing to a logo on the brass ring.
"My dad is the regional director of Blackwood Lumber! He practically owns this entire valley, and he will have you thrown in jail by noon!" Jason screamed.
Thomas stared at the logo on the key ring. It was the emblem of the very company he had founded forty years ago. He looked at the angry teenager and felt a mixture of pity and disappointment.
"So, your father is Richard Vance?" Thomas asked, his voice low and steady.
"Yeah! And he'll ruin your life!" Jason threatened, dialing his phone and putting it on speaker.
When the call connected, Jason began shouting about a crazy old man who had assaulted them on the private dock. But when Thomas spoke, saying, "Hello, Richard," the line went dead silent. On the other end, Richard Vance's voice suddenly trembled with absolute terror as he recognized the voice of his billionaire employer.
