Previously: When a bloodied stable boy sprints to stop a billionaire from boarding his helicopter, a dark family secret unravels, forcing a husband to look his elegant wife in the eyes.

The Confrontation on the Tarmac

Arthur’s grip tightened on Eleanor’s wrist. It wasn't an aggressive hold, but it was unyielding. "She’s right, Toby looks terrified," Arthur said, his voice dangerously calm. "If there is nothing to fear, Eleanor, let's board together. We can fly to the city side-by-side, just like we always do."

Eleanor tried to pull back, her elegant smile completely vanishing, replaced by a mask of cold panic. "Arthur, you are being ridiculous! You are taking the word of a common stable hand over your own wife? Let go of me, you're hurting me!"

"Get in the helicopter, Eleanor," Arthur repeated, his silver hair blowing in the rotor wash. His eyes, usually warm and welcoming, were now as cold as ice.

Realizing she could not manipulate her husband any longer, Eleanor’s composure shattered. With a desperate shriek, she twisted her arm violently, slipping out of her gold bracelet and leaving it in Arthur's hand. She stumbled backward, her high heels sinking into the soft turf, before turning on her heel and sprinting toward her red sports car parked near the estate gates.

"Shut it down! Shut the engine down!" Arthur roared to the pilot, who had just stepped out of the cockpit to investigate the commotion.

As the pilot scrambled to cut the power, a sudden, high-pitched electronic beep began to emanate from the belly of the aircraft. It was a rapid, rhythmic sound that sent a jolt of pure adrenaline through Toby’s veins.

"It's going to blow!" Toby screamed, grabbing Arthur by the shoulder.

The billionaire stood paralyzed, staring at the gold bracelet in his palm, his entire world crumbling around him. The woman he had loved, the woman he had built his empire with, had just left him to die.

"Sir, we have to run!" Toby urged, pulling at the older man's tailored jacket as the beeping grew faster and more frantic.
