My Wedding Halted When My Ex Arrived With Two Girls Who Looked Like Me
Previously: On what should have been the happiest day of his life, David’s wedding is interrupted by his ex-girlfriend Elise, who brings two young girls and delivers an earth-shattering revelation.
Unearthing the Betrayal
The elegant estate lawn descended into absolute chaos. Sarah let out a choked sob, her eyes darting between David, Elise, and the two little girls. "David, what is the meaning of this?" she demanded, her voice cracking with emotion. "Is this some kind of sick joke?"
David couldn't take his eyes off the twins. The resemblance was undeniable; they had his eyes, his smile. "Elise, how is this possible?" he whispered. "We broke up six years ago. Why are you only telling me this now?"

Elise’s gaze hardened, shifting from David to the front row of the audience. "I wanted to tell you, David. I tried. But your mother made sure I couldn't."
A collective gasp echoed through the crowd. David spun around to look at his mother, Eleanor, who was sitting frozen in the front row, her knuckles white as she gripped her designer handbag.
"What is she talking about, Mom?" David asked, a sickening dread settling in his stomach.
Elise stepped forward, her voice ringing clear across the lawn. "Six years ago, when I found out I was pregnant, I came to your family home. You were away on a business trip in Europe. Your mother met me at the door. She told me I would ruin your career and your future. She paid my initial medical bills on the condition that I sign an NDA and leave the state. She threatened to use your family’s legal power to ruin my parents' business if I ever contacted you again."
Eleanor slowly stood up, her composure returning as she looked at Elise with cold disdain. "I did what was necessary to protect my son from an opportunist," Eleanor declared loudly, stepping onto the grass. "You were a distraction, Elise. David had a bright future, and you would have dragged him down."
"Protect me?" David roared, the betrayal cutting deeper than any wound. "You stole five years of my daughters' lives!"
