Under the warm, golden glow of custom chandeliers, glass cases shimmered with millions of dollars in rare gems. Ten-year-old Lily, wearing a slightly worn green velvet coat that had belonged to her older cousin, pressed her nose lightly against a pristine display case. Her eyes sparkled with the pure wonder of childhood as she stared at a breathtaking pear-cut diamond necklace.

Beside her stood Arthur, her grandfather. Dressed in a simple, charcoal wool coat that had seen better decades, Arthur smiled gently, his weathered hand resting protectively on his granddaughter's shoulder. To anyone passing by, they looked like simple tourists who had wandered into a world where they didn't belong.

"Grandpa, if I ever become rich, I'll come back for this one," Lily whispered, her voice filled with hope.
