The atmosphere inside The Gilded Carve was usually one of hushed elegance, defined by the soft glow of spherical brass chandeliers and the gentle clinking of crystal. But tonight, the sophisticated ambiance was shattered by a sharp, venomous voice.

A Scene in the Dining Room

"Get out of my restaurant right now!"

Vivian stood rigid beside the center booth, her deep green gown shimmering under the warm lights. Her face was contorted with a mixture of rage and panic as she pointed an aggressive finger toward the kitchen doors. Beside her sat James, clad in a classic black tuxedo. He remained completely passive, staring down at his wine glass as if trying to shrink into the leather upholstery. He refused to look at the woman standing trembling before them.

Stella was in absolute agony. She stood clutching her chest, her white satin blouse stained with a terrifying crimson liquid. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, but they were not clear; they were a bright, bloody red, leaving dark trails across her pale skin. She sobbed hysterically, the chemical burn in her eyes making it almost impossible to see.

From across the table, Martin, a mature man in his late 40s wearing a sharp charcoal pinstripe suit, stood up. As a major culinary investor, his presence was the entire reason for this VIP dinner. He bypassed Vivian entirely, stepping closer to Stella. His eyes locked onto the red streaks on her face, his brow furrowing with deep concern.

"What is that?" Martin asked, his voice low and tense. "What happened to her eyes?"

Vivian quickly tried to interject, her voice pitching higher in a desperate bid to control the narrative. "She's just an unstable pastry chef, Martin! She had an accident with some food coloring in the kitchen and now she's trying to ruin our evening. Security is on their way to escort her out." But Stella shook her head violently, the burning sensation in her eyes intensifying as she cried. "She did this," Stella whispered, her voice cracking with pain.
