The scent of motor oil and hot metal hung heavy in the air of Miller’s Auto Repair. Luke, a hardworking twenty-four-year-old mechanic, was wiping grease from his hands when a shadow loomed over his workstation. It was David, the wealthy and notoriously arrogant father of Luke’s girlfriend, Chloe. Wearing a tailored charcoal grey designer suit and aviator sunglasses that shielded his cold eyes, David looked entirely out of place in the gritty, well-lit garage. He didn't come for car service; he came to deliver a threat.

"How can my daughter ever want someone like you?" David sneered, his voice dripping with venom. "I will never allow her to marry a man like you."

Luke tried to remain professional, but David’s elitist attitude was suffocating. Before Luke could even answer, David stepped closer, aggressively grabbing Luke by the collar of his burgundy work jumpsuit and shoving him against a heavy metal tool cabinet. The rough edge of the cabinet dug into Luke's neck, leaving a painful red welt. David let go with a disgusted scoff, adjusting his cuffs as if he had just touched trash.

But the tense silence of the garage was suddenly shattered by the screech of tires. A massive, polished black SUV roared into the service bay, stopping just inches from David's luxury sedan. The doors opened, and a distinguished older man stepped out. It was William, sixty-three, dressed in a sharp, dark grey suit that radiated immense power and authority. He took one look at Luke's bruised neck and his eyes darkened with fury.

"Who did this?" William demanded, his deep voice echoing off the concrete walls.

Luke, holding his neck, pointed directly at the smug businessman. "He did," Luke said quietly.

William turned his piercing gaze toward David. "You hit my son?" he growled. David, still oblivious to who he was dealing with, merely smiled smugly, confident in his own social status. But William stepped forward, his presence towering over the younger man. "You just made the biggest mistake of your life," William warned, his voice dangerously calm.
