David, completely humbled and stripped of his arrogance, nodded desperately, murmuring apologies as he backed away to his car. He drove off, knowing he had narrowly escaped total ruin. Luke turned to his father with a grateful smile, ready to get back to work, having proven that true strength lies not in wealth or power, but in character and humility.
