I Caught My Sister in My Bed, But Her Next Words Shattered My Whole World
A Sudden Return
The rain lashed against the windshield of Chloe's SUV as she navigated the familiar streets of her quiet suburban neighborhood. She was supposed to be in Boston for a three-day corporate retreat, but a massive power outage at the convention center had cut the event short. Instead of staying in a lonely hotel, Chloe decided to drive three hours back home, eager to surprise her husband, Mark.
She pulled into the driveway, her headlights catching a familiar silver sedan parked near the bushes. It was her sister Sarah's car. Chloe smiled faintly, assuming Sarah had dropped by to help Mark with some household chores or perhaps to plan the surprise party they had been whispering about for weeks. Chloe grabbed her bags, unlocked the front door, and stepped into the warm, softly lit foyer.

The house was unusually quiet. The only sound was the faint hum of the heating system. Leaving her luggage by the door, Chloe slipped off her wet coat, standing in her simple black silk camisole and matching trousers. She headed upstairs, her footsteps muffled by the plush carpet.
As she approached the master bedroom, the door was slightly ajar. A sliver of warm light spilled into the hallway, accompanied by a sound that made Chloe’s heart stop. It was a soft, intimate laugh—unmistakably Sarah's. Then came Mark's low, murmuring voice.
"She won't be back until Friday. We have all the time we need," Mark whispered.
Chloe’s breath hitched in her throat. Her hand trembled as she pushed the door wide open. There, under the gray duvet of her own bed, was Sarah, wearing a white satin slip. The sheer audacity of the sight struck Chloe like a physical blow. Her face contorted in raw, blinding rage. Veins stood out on her neck as she marched to the foot of the bed. With a violent, desperate heave, she yanked the heavy gray duvet off the bed, exposing her sister.
"Get out!" Chloe screamed, her voice cracking with a mixture of agony and hatred. "Get out of my house right now!"
