The atmosphere inside the Pioneer Shooting Range was thick with the scent of gunpowder and the tense energy of the annual regional championship. Spectators packed the gallery, their eyes glued to the shooting line where the local favorite, twenty-three-year-old Luke, was already putting on a show. Wearing his sleek blue and black shooting vest, Luke exuded an air of untouchable confidence. He had swept the junior divisions and was now poised to take the state title, his smug grin visible to everyone in the front rows.

Then, the heavy doors at the back of the hall swung open. Martha, a resolute sixty-eight-year-old woman with a crown of curly grey hair and wearing a simple, worn beige outdoor jacket, stepped inside. She carried a battered, heavy gear case that looked older than most of the competitors. As she calmly walked toward the shooting line, whispers rippled through the crowd.

Luke turned, his grin widening into a mocking sneer as he sized her up.

"Hey, ma'am, I think you took a wrong turn," Luke called out, loud enough for the gallery to hear. "This isn't a retirement club. The knitting circle is down the street."

The crowd chuckled, but Martha didn't blink. She reached her designated lane, unlatched her gear case, and took out her registration card. With a steady, deliberate motion, she slapped the ID card down on the official's desk.

"I came here to compete," Martha said, her voice quiet but carrying an undeniable steel.

Before Luke could utter another snide remark, Martha drew her pistol. Her posture transformed instantly; the slight bend in her shoulders vanished, replaced by the rigid, flawless stance of a master marksman. Without hesitation, she began to fire. Bang! Bang! Bang!

The shots were rapid, rhythmic, and impossibly precise. Down the range, the target sheet lit up as bullet after bullet pierced the exact center of the bullseye.

"Impossible!" a spectator shouted from the gallery.

Behind the desk, Arthur, an older official wearing wire-framed glasses, stared at the registration sheet. He adjusted his spectacles, his hands suddenly trembling as his eyes locked onto the name printed on the card.

"Wait, that name..." Arthur whispered, his face turning pale. "It can't be."

He looked up, staring in utter shock at Martha, who stood calm and victorious, while a stunned Luke gaped in the background.
