Before Julian could process the revelation, his adoptive father, Richard, pushed his way through the stunned crowd. His face was a mask of fury and panic. "Security! Get this trespasser out of here immediately!" Richard roared, his usual calm demeanor completely shattered. He grabbed Clara’s arm roughly, attempting to drag her away from the guests.

"Let go of her!" Julian shouted, stepping between them. The authority in his voice shocked even his father, who froze. Julian looked at the old photo on his phone, then back to Clara. "Explain this. Right now."

Clara took a shaky breath, her eyes burning with decades of suppressed pain.

"Thirty years ago, Julian, your biological father, Thomas, was Richard’s business partner. They built their first company together. But Richard wanted it all. He framed Thomas for embezzlement, sending him to prison, where he died of a broken heart."

A collective gasp rippled through the wedding guests. Richard shook his head frantically. "She’s insane! She’s a disgruntled former employee who lost her mind years ago! Julian, don't ruin your wedding day for this trash!"

But Clara pressed on, her voice growing stronger.

"After Thomas died, Richard threatened to have me declared unfit and put my baby into state care forever unless I signed you over to him. He wanted Thomas’s heir under his roof so he could control the remaining shares of the company. I was broke, terrified, and alone. He forced me to sign the adoption papers and paid off corrupt officials to make me disappear."

Beatrice looked at Richard, horror dawning on her face. "Richard, is this true?" she whispered. Richard didn't answer; his silence was a deafening confession. Julian felt his entire world crumbling. The man he had called father, the man who had raised him on stories of his "charitable rescue," was actually a monster who had destroyed his real family.
