"What is the meaning of this, Sebastian?" Eleanor demanded, her wealthy, commanding voice cutting through the whispers of the crowd. "Is there a camera recording this altar?"

We can either watch the tape in the security office right now, or I will call the police and have them review it as evidence for child assault."

Eleanor’s eyes narrowed. She was a woman of immense power and pride, and she hated being lied to. "We are going to the security office," she announced coldly, ignoring Sebastian’s desperate protests.

Within minutes, Victoria, Emma, Sebastian, and Eleanor were crowded inside the venue's high-tech security room. The head of security queued up the footage from the camera directly above the altar, fast-forwarding to the moments just before the ceremony.

On the high-definition screen, the truth unfolded in agonizing detail. Emma was indeed standing near the altar, admiring the floral arrangements. But she never touched the velvet box containing Eleanor's heirloom brooch. Instead, the camera clearly captured Sebastian walking up to the altar alone. He looked around nervously, opened the box, and slipped the sparkling diamond brooch directly into his own inner jacket pocket.

Moments later, when Emma wandered near, Sebastian had deliberately tripped her, sending her crashing into the altar, and then screamed that she had stolen the jewelry to create a distraction.
