Previously: When a cruel customer deliberately knocked down a struggling waitress, she thought her night was ruined. But a mysterious stranger in a duster coat was about to change her life forever.

The Confrontation

William knelt down immediately, ignoring the glass that threatened to ruin his expensive trousers. Gently, he took Emily by the hands and helped her sit on a nearby chair, making sure she was safe from the sharp shards. His voice was calm but carried an undeniable authority.

"Are you alright? Don't move, let me handle this," William whispered reassuringly.

He stood up, his tall frame cast in the dramatic warm lighting of the restaurant. He turned his gaze toward the bald man, Marcus, who was now sitting at a prime booth, loudly demanding a menu from another terrified server. William walked over, his steps slow and deliberate, stopping right in front of Marcus's table.

"You dropped something back there," William said, his voice dangerously quiet. "An apology."

Marcus looked up, letting out a loud, mocking laugh. He leaned back in his booth, adjusting his leather jacket arrogantly. "Mind your own business, pal. She's just a waitress. Accidents happen. Now get out of my face before I make you."

The restaurant grew dead silent. Customers held their breath, expecting a violent brawl. But William didn't flinch. Instead, he reached into his grey waistcoat and pulled out a sleek, black card, placing it gently on the table. When Marcus saw the gold crest engraved on the card, the smug grin instantly faded from his face.

William wasn't just a random diner. He was the majority shareholder of the entire hospitality group that owned The Obsidian Room, as well as the commercial property holding company that leased Marcus his downtown offices. With one phone call, William could ruin Marcus's entire business empire.

"You have exactly ten seconds to get on your knees and clean up that glass, Marcus," William warned, "or your lease is terminated by tomorrow morning."
