An Arrogant Father Humiliates a Humble Mechanic, Unaware of Who the Boy's Father Is
Previously: When wealthy Vincent confronts a humble mechanic to stop him from dating his daughter, he resorts to violence. But the shop owner's sudden arrival changes everything, revealing a shocking family secret.
The Falling Empire
Vincent let out a mocking laugh, entirely unfazed by Raymond's imposing presence. "Your son?" Vincent chuckled, gesturing dismissively at Tyler’s grease-stained jumpsuit. "If this kid is yours, then you should have taught him his place. He’s been sniffing around my daughter Clara, thinking a mechanic can secure a spot in my family. I don't care who you are, old man, you can't intimidate me."
Raymond didn't flinch. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleek, custom-engraved smartphone. "My name is Raymond Vance," he said softly, letting the name hang in the humid air of the garage.
The color instantly drained from Vincent’s face. The smug grin vanished, replaced by a look of sheer terror. Vance Industries was the largest commercial real estate and investment conglomerate in the state. In fact, Vincent’s own firm was currently in the final stages of securing a twenty-million-dollar merger with Vance Industries—a deal that Vincent’s entire financial survival depended on.
"Mr. Vance?" Vincent stammered, his voice suddenly pitching higher. "I... I had no idea. I thought he was just a regular mechanic."
"Tyler is my youngest son," Raymond explained, his voice cutting like a scalpel. "He wanted to learn our automotive division from the ground up, refusing any handouts or special treatment. He wanted to earn his respect through hard work—something you clearly know nothing about."
Raymond dialed a number on his phone and put it on speaker. "Marcus," Raymond said to his chief financial officer. "Cancel the merger with Vincent’s firm immediately. Pull all our funding, and call in the commercial leases we hold on his properties. I want him completely liquidated by the end of the week."
Vincent fell to his knees on the oil-stained floor, his expensive beige linen suit ruining instantly. "Please, Mr. Vance! It was a misunderstanding! I was just trying to protect my daughter!" he begged.
”I was just trying to protect my daughter!" he begged.
