Previously: When a smug young shooter mocks 68-year-old Judith at a high-stakes competition, he expects an easy win. But her flawless performance and legendary name leave the entire arena in absolute silence.

A Legend Redefined

Marcus tried to maintain his composure, whispering to Judith, "This is a public event, Judith. Don't ruin my family's name over ancient history." But Judith wasn't there for a quiet compromise. She looked at Dylan, then back at Marcus. "Your son challenged me. Let's let the targets decide the truth. If I win, you publicly confess to the fraud that ruined my career and return my husband's original patent rights. If Dylan wins, I walk away and never speak of this again."

Dylan, eager to defend his family's honor and prove his superiority, immediately agreed. "You're on, old lady," he snapped, ignoring his father's desperate warning glances.

The duel was set. Five moving targets at varying distances, randomized speeds. Dylan went first. He was fast, his face tense with sweat. He hit four out of five, missing the final moving target by a fraction of an inch. He stepped back, a triumphant grin returning to his face. "Beat that," he challenged.

Judith stepped to the line. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, breathing in the familiar scent of gunpowder, remembering her late husband's encouraging words. When she opened them, she was a force of nature. She raised her pistol with one hand. The targets began to move. Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Five shots. Five perfect, center-mass hits in half the time of Dylan's run. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause.

Dylan dropped his jaw, looking at the scoreboard in absolute shock. Marcus fell back into a chair, knowing his legacy was shattered. Judith holstered her weapon, looking at the humbled young champion. "Respect is earned, young man, not given with a fancy suit," she said softly.

True mastery has no expiration date, and justice, no matter how long delayed, always finds its target when guided by an unwavering hand.
