A Biker Confronted a Nurse for Hitting His Father, but the Truth Changed Everything
A Standoff in the Corridor
The fluorescent lights of St. Jude’s Hospital hummed with a cold, sterile energy. Nurse Megan, a seasoned professional with a sharp dark brown bob, adjusted her stethoscope over her white lab coat. Beside her sat Arthur, a frail, elderly man wearing a brown flat cap and a faded green army jacket. He was breathing heavily, his hands trembling on the armrests of his wheelchair. Megan had just administered an emergency injection to counteract a sudden, life-threatening allergic reaction, slapping his thigh firmly to ensure the medicine dispersed. But to Arthur's disoriented mind, the sharp sting felt like an assault.
Before Megan could soothe him, the heavy double doors of the ward burst open. A group of tough-looking bikers in leather vests marched down the corridor, their heavy boots echoing against the linoleum. At the front was Marcus, a bald, muscular man whose face contorted with immediate rage. He pointed aggressively at Megan, his voice booming through the quiet hallway.
"Hey! Did you see that? Get away from him!" Marcus yelled, his chest puffing out as he closed the distance.
Arthur whimpered, touching his cheek in confusion, looking up at Marcus with tearful eyes.
"She hit me,"the elderly man whispered, his voice cracking with age and disorientation.
Marcus stepped right up to Megan, towering over her. The scent of leather and gasoline filled the sterile air.
"Back off, lady. You don't touch him,"he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
But Megan didn’t flinch. She stood her ground, gesturing firmly to her blue scrubs and the ID badge clipped to her pocket.
"This is a hospital. You want to help him, you let me do my job,"she replied, her voice steady despite the adrenaline surging through her veins.
Marcus stared her down, his hard glare searching her eyes for any sign of fear.
"Then start explaining,"he growled.
”"Then start explaining," he growled.
