Previously: When a hardened biker is approached by a terrified little girl in a diner, her five words change everything, forcing him to face a dangerous threat from his own past.

Brody took a step closer, his hand resting ominously inside his jacket pocket. "Come on, Lily," he said, his voice dripping with false warmth. "Stop bothering the gentleman. We have to go."

But Lily didn't move. Instead, she shrank behind Mark’s massive shoulder, sobbing silently. Mark stood up slowly, his towering presence instantly shifting the power dynamic in the quiet diner. "She said she doesn't know you, Brody," Mark said, his voice low and dangerous.

The Dark Truth Revealed

Brody’s smirk vanished, replaced by a cold, venomous glare. "Mind your own business, Mark. You walked away from the club years ago. You don't get to play the hero now. This kid belongs to us."

Mark stepped out of the booth, completely shielding Lily. "I’m making it my business. What do you want with a little girl?"

Brody chuckled, a sound devoid of any humor. He leaned in close, whispering so the few other patrons wouldn't hear. "You really don't know who she is, do you? Look at her face, Mark. Look at her eyes. She’s Sarah’s daughter. Your brother’s kid."

The revelation hit Mark like a physical blow. His brother, Danny, had died in a tragic "accident" two years ago—an accident Mark had always suspected was the club's doing. After Danny’s death, his widow Sarah had vanished with their daughter to protect her. Now, Brody had found her.

"Danny left something behind," Brody whispered, his hand tightening inside his pocket. "A safety deposit key. She knows where her mother hid it. Step aside, or we take both of you out right here."

Mark looked back at the terrified girl. He saw his brother's eyes looking back at him. The stakes had just become deeply personal. He couldn't let them hurt Danny's daughter, no matter the cost.
