A Dark Secret Uncovered
Victor sneered, stepping back onto the porch, but he didn't dare advance against Wyatt’s imposing stature.
"You don't know what you're getting into, biker,"Victor hissed, his voice trembling despite his bravado.
"This is family business. She belongs here."Julia clutched Sammy tighter, shaking her head in frantic denial.
"He's lying! He's not my husband, Wyatt. He's my late husband's brother, and he's been keeping us hostage!"she cried out, her voice cracking with emotion.
The revelation hung heavy in the warm evening air. Wyatt’s brow furrowed as he looked from Julia to Victor. Victor’s face drained of color. He reached toward his back pocket, but Wyatt was faster. He stepped forward, gripping Victor’s wrist in a vice grip.
"Don't even think about it,"Wyatt growled, twisting Victor's arm until a small black flash drive slipped from his fingers and clattered onto the porch.
Julia pointed at the drive. "That has the evidence of what he did," she sobbed. "He forced his way into our home after my husband passed, threatening to ruin our family and take Sammy away if I didn't sign over the estate to him. He took my phone, my keys, everything." Victor struggled against Wyatt’s grip, cursing loudly.
"You'll never get away with this! Nobody will believe a grease-monkey biker over me!"he screamed.
Wyatt didn't flinch. He picked up the flash drive with his free hand, slipping it into his vest pocket. He knew he couldn't just ride away and leave them. Victor was desperate, and desperate men were dangerous. Just as Victor tried to break free, the sound of distant sirens began to wail, drawing closer to the suburban neighborhood. Someone had called the police, but the danger was far from over as Victor made one last desperate move.
