A Biker Brought Me My Son's Secret Belongings, but the Photo Inside Changed Everything
Previously: When a group of rugged bikers arrived on Beatrice's porch carrying her late son's duffel bag, she expected only grief—but a single photograph hidden inside revealed a secret he had kept for years.
The Secret Heir
Beatrice’s fingers shook as she reached into the bag and picked up the glossy photograph. It captured a moment of pure, unadulterated joy. Thomas was laughing, his arm wrapped around a beautiful young woman who held a toddler. The little boy had the exact same bright blue eyes and crooked smile as her late son. Tears flowed freely down Beatrice's weathered cheeks.
"Who is this, Luke?"she whispered, clutching the photo to her chest.
"That is Clara, and the boy is Toby,"Luke answered gently.
"Toby is your grandson, Beatrice. Thomas wanted so badly to bring them to meet you, but he was terrified of what would happen if his brother found out."
Before Beatrice could process the revelation, the front door flew open. Her eldest son, Richard, stepped onto the porch, his face twisted in anger. Richard had moved into her home under the guise of caring for her, but Beatrice knew he was merely guarding his inheritance.
"What is going on here?"Richard barked, glaring at Luke.
"Get these hoodlums off my property before I call the police!"
Luke didn't back down. He stepped between Richard and Beatrice, his massive frame casting a shadow over the younger brother.
"We aren't here for you, Richard,"Luke growled.
"We're here to undo the damage you caused. We know you threatened Clara and paid her to disappear so Thomas wouldn't have an heir to split the family estate."
Beatrice gasped, staring at Richard in horror.
"Richard, is this true?"she demanded. Richard stammered, his face turning pale, but he quickly recovered his defensive posture, claiming the bikers were scammers. Luke ignored him, turning back to Beatrice.
"Toby is in the pediatric ICU with severe leukemia,"Luke explained urgently.
"He needs a bone marrow transplant, and Clara isn't a match. You are his only hope, Beatrice."
