Greg took a step forward, his fists clenching at his sides.

"She is my daughter! I have every right to take her, and you are interfering with a parent!"

he screamed, reaching out to grab Lily's arm. But Marcus shifted his massive frame, completely blocking Greg's path. The sheer physical presence of the biker was enough to make Greg hesitate, his hand hovering in mid-air.

By now, a crowd had gathered at both ends of the cereal aisle. A store manager, a nervous-looking man named Robert, hurried over with a security guard in tow. "What is going on here? Do I need to call the police?" Robert asked, looking between the angry man in the tank top and the imposing biker.

"Yes, call them,"

Marcus said without breaking eye contact with Greg.

"In fact, call them right now. This little girl is terrified of this man, and I'm not letting her leave with him until we get some answers."

Greg's demeanor suddenly shifted. The aggressive bravado began to crack, replaced by a flicker of panic.

"This is ridiculous! I'm her stepfather, she's just throwing a tantrum because I wouldn't buy her toys!"

he lied, his voice rising in pitch. But Lily, still clinging to Marcus's leg, shook her head frantically. "He's not my stepdad anymore! My mommy told me to run if I ever saw him! He's not allowed near us!" she sobbed.

The pieces began to fall into place. Marcus realized this wasn't a simple family dispute. Greg was violating something serious, and the sheer terror in Lily's eyes confirmed it. Marcus kept his arm protectively around the girl, whispering soothing words to keep her calm while they waited for the authorities. Greg tried to back away, looking for an exit, but the store security guard, now alerted to the gravity of the situation, blocked the end of the aisle.
