A Biker's Last Promise to the Son of a Legend He Thought Was Gone
The afternoon sun cut through the thick, dusty air of the Rusty Anvil, casting long shadows across the wooden floorboards. Garrett, a massive, bald biker covered in intricate tattoos, sat quietly at his usual corner table, nursing a glass of whiskey. The bar was quiet, filled only with the low murmur of his crew. Suddenly, the double wooden doors burst open, shattering the silence. A young boy, no older than ten, stumbled into the room. He was filthy, his dark-brown hair matted with sweat, and his tank top was torn to shreds.
The boy, Mason, scanned the room with wild, terrified eyes before locking onto Garrett. Without hesitation, he ran straight toward the giant.
"Please. Help me,"
Mason pleaded, his small hands desperately grabbing Garrett's thick, tattooed arm.
Garrett looked down, his deep, gravelly voice cutting through the tension.
"Who's after you?"
The boy panted heavily, looking back at the door as if expecting monsters to pour through.
"They're coming,"
he whispered, his voice trembling with pure terror.
Garrett frowned, his rugged features twisting in confusion.
"Why here, kid?"
Mason looked up, his eyes shining with tears but filled with an earnest gravity that seemed far too heavy for a child.
"My father told me... come here if I was in trouble."
Leaning in closer, Garrett's gaze narrowed.
"What's his name?"
The room seemed to lose all sound as the boy leaned in and whispered two words:
"John Wick."
Garrett froze. The color drained from his rugged face as he stared at the boy.
"No. That's impossible,"
he muttered, his voice barely a breath. But then, Mason opened his small, dirty hand to reveal a heavy, gleaming gold Continental coin.
Instantly, Garrett's survival instincts kicked in. He placed his massive hand over the coin, closing Mason's fingers around it. He stood up abruptly, his towering frame casting a shadow over the entire room. He turned to his men and roared,
"Lock the doors!"
