Previously: In a luxury car dealership, a billionaire CEO witnesses his entitled sister verbally and physically assault a humble maid. He intervenes, but his actions lead to a shocking proposal that changes everything for the young woman.

Part 2: The Billionaire's Intervention

The hand that stopped Jason’s was the hand of a powerful man, a man who radiated an almost predatory aura. He was Marcus Vance, the billionaire CEO, a towering figure with a chiselled jaw and eyes like a stormy slate sky. He loomed over his sister, his presence a tangible force that seemed to suck the air out of the room. His voice, a low growl, sent a shiver down my spine, but it wasn't entirely of fear.

“Touch one hair on her head, and you lose that hand.”

Jason, her face contorted in a mixture of pain and disbelief, tried to wrench her wrist free, but Marcus’s grip was like steel. Her manicured fingers splayed wide in startled agony. Her sneer had vanished, replaced by a wide-eyed, breathless shock. I could only stare, my chest heaving, my eyes locked on the impossible scene unfolding before me.

Marcus didn't release her immediately. He deliberately torqued her wrist downward, forcing her to her knees on the polished obsidian floor. The sharp crack of her knees hitting the marble echoed in the stunned silence. He glared down at her, his expression one of lethal, glacial authority. “You are speaking to the majority shareholder of Vance Motors,” he stated, his voice resonating with thunderous baritone.

Jason, humbled and humiliated, trembled beneath his gaze. Her throat convulsed, unable to form words. I remained frozen, a statue of bewilderment, my mind struggling to process the turn of events. The man who had just threatened to maim his own sister was the one who had protected me.

Then, Marcus Vance turned his piercing gaze to me. He stepped between Jason and me, a protective wall. He reached out, not with force, but with a gentle, deliberate motion, and took my trembling hand in his. His touch was warm, grounding. His steel-slate eyes softened, a flicker of something fierce and protective in their depths. A single tear escaped my eye, tracing a path down my porcelain cheek. My fingers, still clutching the damp cleaning rag, inadvertently loosened their grip, letting it fall silently to the floor.

“Marcus… you really came back for me?”

The words were barely a whisper, choked with emotion. It had been years since I’d last seen him, years since he’d disappeared from my life, leaving me to navigate the harsh realities of my family's financial ruin and my subsequent servitude.

He squeezed my hand, his gaze never leaving mine. “I promised you the empire,” he said, his voice now a low, resonant rumble. “Security. Everything you deserve.” He then looked dismissively at his sister, still kneeling on the floor. “Throw this trespasser into the street!”
