Previously: A young trainee is brutally threatened by a foreman. But this trainee isn't who he seems, and the foreman's life is about to unravel with calculated, devastating precision.

The CEO's Gambit

The courtroom buzzed with shocked murmurs as Armand Dubois stammered, his bravado crumbling under the intense, unwavering gaze of Tommy. The pain in his wrist was excruciating, a searing testament to the young man's impossible strength and control. Armand’s carefully constructed facade of power was shattering before his eyes, replaced by a bewildering terror. He had never felt such a raw, palpable threat, not from a subordinate, not from anyone.

Armand Dubois: "Who... who the hell do you think you are to lay hands on me?"

Tommy remained silent, his expression an impenetrable mask. A solitary muscle in his jaw flexed, a subtle but potent display of controlled menace. Then, with deliberate, calculated precision, Tommy began to unzip his grease-stained canvas trainee jacket. He peeled it open slowly, revealing not the expected work clothes of a humble trainee, but a bespoke, tailored charcoal vest. A platinum conglomerate signet ring glinted on his finger, and pinned prominently over his heart was an embossed golden corporate executive badge. The transformation was staggering, the revelation seismic.

Tommy: "I am Thomas Sterling, CEO of Sterling Conglomerate, and I personally inspected your factory."

The words hung in the air, heavy with implication. Armand’s jaw dropped, his eyes wide with paralyzed terror. His knees visibly trembled beneath him. He had mistaken a titan for a trainee, a predator for prey. The courtroom, which had moments before been filled with his bluster, now held a suffocating silence, broken only by the frantic pounding of Armand's heart. The weight of his actions, the false confession he’d tried to force, the safety violations he’d covered up—it all crashed down on him. He had targeted the wrong man, and the consequences were about to be devastating.

The judge, sensing the shift in power and the gravity of the situation, slammed his dark walnut gavel with a resounding crack that silenced the already stunned gallery. Two armed uniformed bailiffs, alerted by the commotion and the evident distress, marched purposefully through the gate. Their movements were swift, decisive, and unnervingly efficient as they began to encircle the trembling foreman. Armand, his face a mask of sheer panic, looked wildly between the approaching bailiffs and the impassive CEO before him.

Armand Dubois: "Mr. Sterling, please, don't ruin me—I was only following orders!"

His plea was a shrill, hysterical whimper, a desperate attempt to deflect blame. But Tommy, now revealed as Thomas Sterling, the formidable CEO, remained unmoved. He turned his back on Armand without the slightest glance of mercy, the coldness of his dismissal more damning than any words.
