A Billionaire Mocked My Serving Uniform, Until I Played His Darkest Secret
Previously: When young server Thomas sits at a grand piano during a wealthy gala, his performance forces the arrogant billionaire Charles to face a dark betrayal from his past.
A Private Confrontation
As the final, lingering chord of the haunting melody faded into the vast ballroom, the guests erupted into enthusiastic applause. But Thomas did not bow. He stood up from the piano bench and locked eyes with Charles. The billionaire looked as if he had seen a ghost. Without a word to his guests, Charles grabbed Thomas by the shoulder and pulled him away from the crowd, leading him into a private, oak-paneled study and locking the heavy door behind them.
"Who are you?" Charles demanded, his voice shaking with a mixture of fear and rage. "Where did you learn that song? It was never published. It was never recorded!"
Thomas stood tall, adjusting his black waistcoat. "It was written by Julianna," Thomas said softly. "She wrote it twenty-five years ago, before you stole her catalog, claimed her genius as your own, and left her to die in poverty. She was my mother, Charles."
Charles gasped, taking a step back as if struck. The memories of his betrayal rushed back. He had built his entire musical empire on Julianna's brilliant compositions, using his wealth to silence her when she tried to speak out. For years, he believed his secret was safe, buried forever with her passing.
"She's gone, Thomas. You have no proof of anything," Charles whispered, trying to regain his composure. "No one will believe a word from a penniless server."
Thomas reached into the inner pocket of his vest and pulled out a worn, leather-bound journal. "This is her original diary," Thomas revealed. "It contains the handwritten compositions of every hit song you claim to have written, complete with your own signed letters acknowledging her work."
Realizing his entire career, wealth, and reputation were on the line, Charles panicked. He rushed to his desk, grabbed his checkbook, and scribbled a number. He held out a check for five million dollars. "Take this, sign an NDA, and hand over the journal," Charles pleaded. "You'll never have to work another day in your life."
