The Showroom Showdown

The air in the high-end luxury sports car dealership in Geneva was thick with the scent of polished leather and ambition. Rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling windows, turning the twilight outside into a shimmering, distorted watercolor. Inside, the meticulously clean, mirror-black obsidian floor reflected the cool, geometric glow of LED halo lights and the warm amber spotlights that bathed a crimson hypercar slowly rotating on a motorized turntable. The hushed atmosphere was broken only by the rhythmic drumming of the rain and the faint, crisp hum of the car's electric motor. It was a scene of opulent tranquility, soon to be shattered.

Armand Dubois, a young man whose arrogance radiated like heat, stepped with calculated aggression towards Liam. Armand, with his slicked-back blonde hair and a sneer that promised trouble, dwarfed Liam’s leaner frame. His tailored beige cashmere blazer and the glint of a gold signet ring spoke of a life of privilege Liam could only dream of. Armand invaded Liam's personal space, his posture a coiled spring of menace.

"Know your place, you filthy mechanic beggar!"

The words were venomous, spat out with chilling disdain. Then, Armand's hand moved with whip-crack velocity. An open-handed slap, full force, connected with Liam’s face. The sound was explosive, a sharp crack that ricocheted off the glass walls. Liam’s head snapped violently to the side, saliva spraying into the air. He stood frozen, eyes wide with shock, his jaw slack, breath caught in his throat. A raw, inflamed handprint began to bloom on his cheek, a stark testament to the brutal assault.

The sheer kinetic force of the blow sent Liam stumbling backward. His palms skidded across the wet, reflective floor as his chin quivered uncontrollably. Armand loomed directly over him, a picture of cruel satisfaction, casually brushing imaginary dust from his immaculate sleeve.

"Now crawl out the back door before I have security shatter your ribs!"

Liam remained silent, his teeth grinding behind tightly locked lips. Tears spilled, tracing paths down his bruised cheekbone. His fingers curled into trembling fists against the cold, unforgiving obsidian. Humiliation washed over him, cold and sharp as the rain outside.
