Blind Veteran Dismantles Mercenary In Luxury Suite — Revenge Is Served Cold
Previously: A hardened blind veteran, Martha, faces a brutal mercenary in her hospital room. What seems like a simple robbery quickly turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse as her hidden past is revealed.
The Ghost of Task Force Black
The moment Vance stepped within arm’s reach, intending to press the cold muzzle against her forehead, Martha moved. It was an explosion of calculated violence. Her left forearm whipped upward with explosive force, deflecting the gun barrel skyward in a blinding blur of kinetic torque. Simultaneously, her right palm struck Vance’s carpal bones with a sickening crunch, dislodging the weapon. It spun into the air. Vance’s eyes widened in paralyzed shock, a strangled gasp tearing from his throat. “CL-4 military gun oil and forty-five caliber steel,” Martha growled, her voice a low, bone-chilling growl, enunciated with razor precision. “You step heavy on your left heel, amateur.” Vance’s jaw dropped in agonizing shock, his fingers buckling uselessly as the weapon, now disarmed, tumbled from his grasp.
In mid-descent, Martha snatched the spinning firearm out of the air by its serrated slide. With a sharp metallic clatter, she racked it, ejecting the chambered live cartridge. It tumbled in slow motion into a chrome basin. Before Vance could recover, she drove her elbow backward into his sternum with concussive force, dropping the six-foot mercenary to his knees. “W-what the hell… who are you?!” Vance croaked, saliva spraying through his balaclava. Martha remained impassive, her facial muscles carved from granite, veins pulsing on her sinewy forearms as she dominated him in the near darkness. She pressed the stripped barrel firmly into the hollow of his throat, her unseeing gaze boring coldly through his mask. Red and blue emergency strobes from approaching police cruisers suddenly streaked across the rainy windows. Vance’s chin quivered pathetically, tears welling along his lower eyelids as he realized he had stumbled into an apex predator’s cage. “Retired Special Forces, Task Force Black,” Martha stated with icy, venomous authority, her voice cutting through the wail of distant sirens. “You picked the wrong patient to rob.” Vance’s chest heaved in erratic, shallow sobs, pure paralyzed horror locking him rigid on the hospital floor.
