The afternoon sun was filtered through a heavy layer of Oregon clouds, casting a soft, natural overcast light over the grassy field where the Iron Brotherhood Motorcycle Club had parked their heavy machines. Clay, the burly, bearded president of the club, sat on his customized chopper, talking quietly with his men. He wore his faded denim kutte, his arms covered in intricate tattoos that told the stories of a long, hard life on the road. Despite his intimidating exterior, Clay’s eyes held a deep, quiet sadness—a shadow from a past he had spent ten years trying to forget.

Suddenly, the quiet of the rural field was broken by the sound of rustling grass. A small figure emerged from the treeline, running as fast as his little legs could carry him. It was Joey, an eight-year-old boy with messy red hair and a dusty t-shirt. In his panic, he tripped over a thick root, tumbling hard onto the ground. The bikers tensed, but before anyone could move, Joey scrambled back up, clutching a small wooden toy motorcycle tightly to his chest.

He ran straight toward Clay, his green eyes wide with a desperate plea.

"Please sir, buy it,"

he sobbed, holding out the toy.

Clay blinked in surprise. He slowly knelt down, his massive frame towering over the boy, and gently took the toy to inspect it. It was beautifully carved, a miniature replica of a classic chopper.

"Who made this?"

Clay asked, his rough voice softening.

Joey wiped his tear-stained face with a dusty hand, his shoulders shaking.

he whispered.

Clay turned the toy over, and his heart stopped. Carved into the wooden base were the initials "M.C." A chill ran down his spine. He looked at the boy's green eyes, realizing they were painfully familiar.
