The Uninvited Guest

The grand lobby of the Sterling mansion was a spectacle of wealth and privilege. Hundreds of high-society guests chatted animatedly, their laughter echoing off the marble walls and crystal chandeliers. In the center of the room stood a magnificent, pristine white grand piano, untouched and shining under the warm, elegant lights. Marcus, a wealthy forty-eight-year-old businessman dressed in a flawless designer tuxedo, stood at the center of attention, holding a glass of champagne. His face turned pale, and he gasped in sudden shock.

"No. That melody was never published. Only my missing child knew that song."

Leo stopped playing and looked directly into Marcus's eyes.

"Then ask your wife why my mother died with your family ring."

In the background, Marcus’s wife Sarah, a beautiful woman with platinum blonde hair dressed in a shimmering silver-white gown, gasped in sheer terror, clutching her chest as her face drained of color.
