Leo didn’t flinch at her anger. He tossed the phone onto the bed between them, the screen glowing with a document she had hoped he would never see. It was her legal birth certificate, displaying her birth name: Chloe Vance. For two years, she had lived under the assumed name of Miller, desperately trying to distance herself from her father, Richard Vance, the ruthless tycoon who had destroyed Leo’s family business years ago.

"You lied to me every single day,"

Leo whispered, his voice cracking with a pain that cut deeper than any blade. He stood up, pacing the small bedroom as if he could no longer bear to be near her.

The transfers had been happening for over a year, originating from a trust fund she thought she had legally closed.

"I swear, I didn't know about this!"

She cried out, but Leo was already grabbing his car keys.
