"Is there a problem here, sir?" Captain Robert asked, his voice calm, steady, and carrying the absolute authority of a commander in his vessel.

Thomas sneered, adjusting his cuffs. He was used to getting his way, often donating millions to airline boards and rubbing shoulders with executives. "Step aside, Captain. This is a private family matter. My wife is just having a panic attack about flying," Thomas lied smoothly, trying to push past the pilot. He tightened his grip on Sarah's arm, warning her with a sharp squeeze.

But Sarah couldn't stay silent anymore. Looking up at the silver-haired pilot, she whispered, "Please, help me. He won't let me leave."

Captain Robert’s eyes softened for a fraction of a second before hardening into ice as he looked at Thomas. "Sir, let go of her arm immediately. On this aircraft, my word is law. And I am not welcoming a passenger who is being coerced, let alone abused."

"Do you know who I am?" Thomas snarled, stepping closer to the pilot, trying to use his height to intimidate him. "I can have your wings stripped by tomorrow morning. I fly first class on this airline weekly. You are a glorified bus driver. Move!"

Instead of backing down, Captain Robert reached for his radio. "Gate control, we have a Code Red at Gate 14. I need airport security and local law enforcement at the jetway immediately. Suspected domestic abuse and passenger interference."

Thomas’s face turned pale with rage. He realized his power was useless in the narrow confines of the jetway. Desperate to avoid a public scandal that would ruin his corporate reputation, Thomas made a fatal mistake. He raised his hand to strike Sarah right in front of the captain, attempting to drag her back up the jetway before security arrived. But Captain Robert intervened, stepping between them and physically restraining Thomas until the heavy footsteps of airport police echoed down the corridor.
