Previously: When Taylor tried to humiliate Maya in front of the entire university, she never expected Maya to fight back—or to expose the embarrassing truth hidden inside Taylor's own designer bag.

The Ultimate Exposure

The room fell dead silent as Maya slid the flash drive across the Dean’s mahogany desk. Taylor’s fake sobbing stopped instantly, her eyes widening in sheer terror as she stared at the small silver device.

"What is the meaning of this?" Dean Harrison asked, plugging the drive into his computer.

Maya took a step forward, her voice steady and clear. "My mother is the regional manager for the luxury boutique downtown," Maya explained. "Over the past three months, their inventory has suffered massive losses due to a highly sophisticated return scam. Someone was buying authentic designer bags, replacing them with cheap replicas, and returning them for full cash refunds. That 'LUCCI' bag is just one of many."

As the Dean clicked through the files, security footage began to play on his monitor. It clearly showed Taylor standing at the boutique's counter, arguing with the cashier and successfully returning a fraudulent bag. The transaction logs matched her student credit card. Taylor had been funding her lavish lifestyle by scamming the very store Maya's mother worked hard to manage, nearly costing Maya's mother her job.

Taylor went completely pale, her mouth hanging open as she realized her entire world was collapsing.

"It... it was a mistake! Please, Dean Harrison, don't do this!" she stammered, but the Dean raised a hand to silence her.

"This is no longer a school disciplinary matter, Taylor. This is grand larceny," Dean Harrison said coldly, picking up his desk phone to call the campus police. "Maya, you are dismissed. I apologize for the distress this has caused you."

Maya nodded politely and walked out of the office, leaving a ruined Taylor to face the consequences of her greed. As she stepped back into the sunny courtyard, the students looked at her with newfound respect. Maya smiled, holding her head high. She had not only protected her mother’s livelihood, but she had also proven that true worth is defined by integrity, while those who live a lie will always be exposed in the end.
