The front door rebounded against the wall as Richard stepped into the foyer, his eyes burning with fury. Eleanor froze, the box of chocolates slipping from her hands and scattering across the wet marble. Lily gasped, dropping her mop, and ran straight into her father's arms, sobbing uncontrollably. Richard scooped her up, holding her tightly against his chest, feeling her entire body tremble.
