Previously: When Richard installed security cameras to protect his home, he never expected to catch his new wife, Eleanor, abusing his sweet daughter Lily while he sat just outside in his car.

The Trap is Sprung

Richard rushed across the marble floor, pushing past Eleanor to scoop Lily into his arms. The little girl clung to his neck, her body shaking with heavy, ragged sobs. "I've got you, sweetheart," Richard murmured, kissing her hair. "You're safe now." He turned his gaze to Eleanor, his eyes burning with a silent, lethal fury. "Get out of my house," he commanded, his voice deadly quiet.

But Eleanor did not look afraid for long. She smoothed down her designer skirt, a cold, calculating sneer returning to her face.

"Get out? I don't think so, Richard," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "If you try to throw me out, I will ruin you."

From her designer handbag, Eleanor pulled out a thick manila folder. She tossed it onto the glass coffee table. Richard glanced down and felt a chill run through his veins. Inside were forged medical reports, falsified bank statements, and a detailed, fabricated diary accusing Richard of severe domestic abuse and neglect. Eleanor had been planning this for months, meticulously building a trap.

"The courts always favor the mother," Eleanor whispered, stepping closer.

"If you file for divorce, I will use these to take half of your assets, this house, and most importantly, sole custody of Lily. I will make sure you never see her again."

Richard stared at her, horrified by the depth of her malice. She had married him not for love, but to systematically dismantle his life and steal his fortune. Lily whimpered, hiding her face in her father's shoulder. Eleanor smirked, believing she held all the cards. "So, what is it going to be, Richard?" she asked triumphantly. "Are you going to be a good husband, or do you want to lose your daughter forever?"
