Clara stared out the window, her jaw tightening before she finally turned to face him. "Mark, I didn't just get an early release. I was sent home because my unit was involved in a high-risk extraction mission in a hostile zone. We were going after a group of civilian contractors who had been captured." She paused, her voice trembling. "One of those contractors was someone you haven't seen in ten years."
