Previously: When Leo's brilliant science project is suddenly disqualified by a ruthless judge, a mysterious woman steps forward to expose a shocking conspiracy that changes everything.

A Bitter Legacy Revealed

The crowded hall fell dead silent as Helen stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Leo and Sarah, her presence commanding absolute attention. Arthur’s confident smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, his face flushing with a mixture of anger and embarrassment. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure under the watchful eyes of the spectators.

"Helen, this is an administrative matter," Arthur muttered, his voice dropping to a harsh whisper. "The boy’s project violates safety protocols. I am simply doing my job."

"Safety protocols?" Helen scoffed, pulling up a digital file on her tablet and turning it toward the crowd. "This prototype uses a self-stabilizing magnetic field that is safer than any energy source currently on the market. You aren't disqualifying him because of safety, Arthur. You're disqualifying him because of his last name."

Leo looked at his mother, completely bewildered. Sarah’s hands were shaking as she stared at Arthur, a look of deep, painful recognition settling over her features. Helen stepped closer to the microphone on the presentation podium, ensuring her next words echoed throughout the entire convention hall.

"Twenty years ago, a brilliant young engineer named Richard Vance was betrayed by his business partner, who stole his designs and forced him into obscurity," Helen announced. "That partner built a corporate empire on stolen genius. And today, that same man sits as our chief judge, trying to destroy Richard’s son."

A collective gasp rippled through the audience. Reporters rushed toward the booth, their cameras flashing rapidly. Arthur looked trapped, sweating profusely under the bright lights. Realizing he was cornered, he leaned in close to Leo, his eyes filled with venom.

"You think this changes anything?" Arthur whispered maliciously. "If you press this, I will tie this project up in patent litigation for the next ten years. You will be bankrupt, and your father's memory will be dragged through the mud."
