My Cruel Groom Rejected Me at the Altar, Until My Billionaire Father Walked In
Previously: Chloe thought she was marrying the love of her life, but at the altar, Liam whispered a cruel secret. He had no idea her protective father was about to walk through the doors.
A Sweet Revenge
Liam fell to his knees, utterly desperate. He reached out to grab the hem of Chloe's satin gown, but she stepped back, looking down at him with nothing but pity and disgust. The man who had tried to humiliate her was now begging on the cold stone floor of the church.
"Chloe, please! You have to believe me, it was a joke! I love you!" Liam whimpered, looking up at her with pleading eyes.
Arthur stepped between them, shielding his daughter from Liam's desperate grasp. He pulled a sleek smartphone from his pocket and made a quick call, his voice echoing off the high stone arches.
"Security, have Liam escorted out of the building. And notify legal—I want his contracts terminated immediately. He is blacklisted from every major firm in this city by sunset," Arthur commanded coldly.
Liam gasped, realizing his entire career was over in a single breath. Two security guards, who had been waiting outside, quickly entered the chapel and grabbed Liam by his arms, dragging him down the aisle as he screamed for forgiveness. The wedding guests watched in stunned silence, some even whispering approval at the swift justice.
Chloe took a deep breath, feeling a profound sense of relief wash over her. She looked at the white rose bouquet in her hands, then turned to her father and smiled. She didn't need a lavish wedding to find happiness, and she certainly didn't need a man who only valued her for her perceived status.
With her father by her side, Chloe walked out of the church, her head held high. She had lost a deceitful fiancé, but she had gained a powerful realization of her own worth and the unbreakable bond of family. True love cannot be bought, sold, or used as a stepping stone; those who try to climb on the hearts of others will always find themselves falling the hardest.
