A Cruel Guest Tried to Humiliate Me, But My Real Identity Stunned the Ballroom
Previously: When a wealthy couple tried to humiliate Chloe, a humble server at a high-end gala, they had no idea she was actually the star of the night.
The Final Bow
Arthur Vance, the billionaire owner of the Metropolitan Theater and the host of the gala, strode down the grand staircase. His expression was thunderous. Alex smiled triumphantly, assuming the billionaire was about to personally throw Chloe out. He stepped forward to greet the host, eager to take credit for catching the "imposter."
"Mr. Vance, I apologize for the disruption," Alex said smoothly. "We were just having this lying server removed."
Arthur Vance ignored Alex entirely, walking straight past him to the stage. He reached out, gently took Chloe's hand, and helped her step down. He then turned to face the entire ballroom, his voice echoing with authority.
"The only liars and disruptions here are you two," Vance announced, pointing directly at Alex and Victoria. "Chloe is not a server. She is the legendary prima ballerina of this company, and she is also my newly appointed Artistic Director and major shareholder of this theater."
A collective gasp echoed through the room. Alex’s face drained of color, and Victoria looked as if she might faint. Vance explained that Chloe had suggested going undercover as a server to observe the staff's efficiency and experience the gala from the ground up before her grand comeback performance. Chloe looked at Alex, whose eyes were filled with shock and desperation as he realized the immense power and wealth she now held.
"Security," Chloe said, her voice calm but freezing cold. "Please escort these two out of my theater. They are banned from all future events."
As Alex and Victoria were publicly humiliated and dragged out of the ballroom, the pianist began to play once more. Chloe stepped back into the spotlight, finishing her performance to a thunderous standing ovation. She had proved that no matter how hard someone tries to break you, true talent and resilience will always find a way back to the light.
Sometimes, the people who abandon you in your darkest hour are only setting the stage for your greatest comeback.
